With the stroke of a brush we can change our looks to whatever we choose. There is an unlimited array of looks that can be achieved with the use of makeup. The major tool for accomplishing the task is a great set of makeup brushes. When you own a set of makeup brushes that you completely adore you are allowing yourself to become your own personal Picasso.
Why have a complete set of brushes you may ask? Well each brush is designated to a certain area of your face. There are certain terms used to describe the characteristics of a brush.
Here are some general descriptive words used to describe brush characteristics:
- brush head shape; square, dome, tapered, angled, slant etc
- brush head size; fine (extra small), small, medium, large, extra large
- bristles; natural hair -sable, squirrel, goat vs. synthetic- nylon, taklon
- bristles; texture-fine, soft, coarse
- bristles; firm, stiff, dense etc.
- handle length; long, short, 'travel size'
